Mouth Guard Clinic

Dr. Barrios will be hosting a mouth guard clinic at the GMHA Office on Saturday September 11.

The clinic is open from 9:00am to 12:00 noon.

The cost for the mouth Guard is $40.00 (CASH ONLY)

The House League Season is tentatively scheduled to start on the weekend of September 25th.
We are currently working on the league schedules and will post the schedules as soon as they become available.

        Our first Townhall type of meeting for the 2010-2011 season!

        To be held at the GMHA office on Tuesday September 14, 2010

        Our office lease is up next year at the end of July and we need to begin now to determine what we should do for office space.  Should we stay in our current location, buy a space, or lease a new space.  We would like to ask our membership for ideas regarding what the Association should have as facilities.  Also, we would like to hear from our members who have some knowledge about commercial real estate to help us list what type of things have to be looked at.  

        We will be having a committee to take this over but thought that this would be a good start to generating information and ideas for the committee to hit the ground running and develop a good plan.

 GMHA and Victoria Park Golf have teamed up for a fundraising to start the new hockey season. Please consider joining us for a fun afternoon of golf in support of minor hockey. Proceeds from the event will be used to offset travel costs for teams and help the less fortunate in our community through the GMHA Fee Assistance program.

2010/11 Fall Try-Out Schedule 

PLEASE NOTE: August 9, 2010, Rep Tryout schedule has been changed.

(Representative Tyke and Midget Teams & House League Select Teams Novice to Minor Midget)

Rep passes for Midget and Tyke as well as all Select levels can be purchased at the GMHA office during regular business hours starting August 16th, 2010. 

Passes can also be purchased Sunday August 29 from 5-8pm and Wednesday September 1, from 5-8pm at the GMHA office. 

Representative team passes are $75, passes for Select are $20 unless you purchased a Representative pass in the Spring.

Welcome!!

        Here is our new website.  New look, new feel, new design, and new features!  Across the top you will see the main menu.  Hover your mouse over the menu item and if there is a further submenu, it will be displayed.  You can also click on the main item itself to go to that page.

        At the right side of the page you will see a calendar which will be highlights with specific events that are happening at GMHA, such as the Used Equipment Sale etc.  You can also view using the Events Tab (just above the calendar), or the News tab.  The News tab will allow you to see those articles that have been archived.

        Below the calendar, there are buttons for Divisions, Family Account Login, Newsletter signup and Upcoming Games.  The Division/team structure is a little different here, but I think it will be easy to navigate.  Right now there is only the Rep and Select structure in place.  Over the Summer, once Registration is complete, we will be adding the House League Team information.  Once the teams are selected in the Fall we can add the player information.  Click on a Division and you will be able to see the Teams underneath it.  You can click on the team and you will be presented with the team microsite.

        Microsite?  Yes each team can have their own site within the GMHA website so there is no need to go anywhere else for your hockey team information  The teams themselves will be responsible for keeping this information up-to-date.  Team managers can contact the web administrator (Steve Cutler) for access if they don't have it.  

        One of the more interesting features that we liked about this website was the ability to have a Family Account.  Click on the Family Account button and you will see logon information.  There is a hyperlink that you can select called "What is a RAMP Family Account", click it for more information.  Once all of the players are added, you will be able to set up your family account for all of the players in your household.

        By the way, the new website is constructed using a package built and hosted by a company called RAMP Interactive.  So if you were wondering what RAMP is...now you know!

        Please keep checking back for changes.  Of course feedback and comments will be welcome.
