York-Simcoe held tough and it wasn't until late in the first period that the first goal came by Brampton's captain Peter Holland assisted by Brandon Tomines and Kyle McMillan. Late in the second period, York-Simcoe Express scored to tie the game, with a goal by Jason Lacombe, assisted by Chris Barrett and Chris Bergin. Almost midway in the third, Brampton scored a goal by Tyler Randall assisted by Johnathan Demme. York-Simcoe could not seem to get over come, yet were strong and always on their opposition. With outstanding goaltending by Jared Lockhurst of Brampton, Brampton became victorious, and won Gold to become the OMHA Minor Peewee AAA Champions. Congratulations to York-Simcoe who won Silver. Niagara Falls had a great tournament, and knew that going into the Bronze Game their would be a tough battle ahead. The first goal scored of the game, in the first period went unassisted to Guelph's by Chris Pierog. Niagara Falls came back early in the second period with a goal by Justin Shugg, assisted by Nick Sanduleac, and Cameron McLean. Guelph's second goal went to Michael Cazzola, assisted by Mike Charbonneau, and Michael Van Ooteghem. To take a greater lead Guelph's Blake Paterson scored the third goal, assisted by Elliot Lane, and Nick Trecapelli. In the third period, Taylor Beck of Niagara Falls scored with the assist going to David Neudorf and Johnson Andrews. Niagara Falls worked hard, to try and recover some ground, however with only eleven seconds left in the third the Guelph Jr. Storm secured the victory with their fourth goal which was unassisted by Josh McFadden. Congratulations to all the Guelph Jr. Storm Minor Peewee AAA, who not only hosted such a memorable championship for all participants, but attained a Bronze for the OMHA Minor Peewee AAA Championship.

The
Guelph Junior Storm Minor Peewee AAA rep hockey team hosted this
year's OMHA Championship Weekend on March 21, 22, and 23 at the
West End Recreational Centre. Five Minor Peewee AAA rep hockey teams
battled it out for the gold medal which the Guelph Jr. Storm won
last year. The two top teams from the Eastern Triple A division
played against the two top teams, plus Guelph, from the South-Central
Triple A division. Brampton took home Gold, while York-Simcoe took
Silver, and our Guelph Jr. Storm earned Bronze. Congratulations!
